Welcome, I’m Lynn!

As a psychotherapist,  I desire to put people at ease and find humor in things so that we can work together to let go of old beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve them. I have walked the trauma and grief path myself and that is why I chose to become a therapist in the first place.  I have a strong love of learning about the brain, trauma and how the brain can be manipulated to take the trauma out of short term memory and put it into long term memory.  My desire is to help people heal from these wounds and find hope, joy and peace in their lives.  I love to help people discover the different “parts” of themselves that may be in conflict with their own happiness, and work to heal these “parts” and become more of their authentic self.

In our sessions together, I will get to know your story and what makes you unique. I use techniques such as EMDR, IFS and 22Zero that are structured to bring about measurable change. I will check in with you at the beginning of each session to ask what you need in therapy that day, so if a talk session is what is needed, then that is what we will do.

How Therapy Works

I believe that therapy works when a client and therapist connect with each other in a safe space where the client feels comfortable processing their past traumas and how those have affected their current life.

I look for the person’s negative beliefs they have about themselves and the past traumas that led them to believe these negative cognitions. Our past history shapes how we make sense of our current experience.  If our brain is oriented towards trauma, it might interpret current experiences through the lens of trauma, meaning that sometimes we “miss” the good stuff or feel the bad stuff especially hard.  Our current perception, attitudes and behavior become shaped by our history.  I use measureable and proven techniques to rewire the brain so that current experiences aren’t distorted by a painful past.

Types of Therapy

  • EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy helps process and heal trauma by using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation. This technique reduces emotional distress by reprocessing painful memories, allowing you to move forward with less anxiety, fear, or stress. It’s a proven, effective approach for trauma recovery

  • 22Zero Trauma Therapy

22Zero therapy is a structured approach that helps people release trauma, anxiety, and PTSD without reliving painful memories. Using techniques like the Tactical Resiliency Process (TRP), it quickly reduces emotional distress by rewiring how the brain processes trauma. It’s a fast, effective method for healing and restoring emotional well-being. Learn more about this specialized technique here.

  • Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps you understand the different “parts” of your mind and how they interact. By connecting with your core Self, you can reduce inner conflict, improve relationships, and find greater peace. IFS is a gentle, effective approach for anxiety, self-doubt, trauma, and personal growth.

Attending therapy doesn’t make you weak. It shows you’re strong enough to do things differently.
